Our Start
Scott Wachner is the Owner who has been working in construction since 1993. Scott started the company in 1996 and received his degree from Delta College in Residential Construction. He started out doing small jobs and always had a competitive price and quality workmanship. Now S.A.W. Construction has grown into a company that can handle any size remodel or new construction project without sacrificing price or quality.
Our Employees
We believe a differentiating factor of our company from others is that we have been able to maintain excellent employees that work hard and take great pride in the finished product. We have several employees that have been with us many years and exhibit outstanding professional interaction with our customers and know our expectations as a company. We service Saginaw, Bay, and Genesee counties, but are willing to travel outside of that area. S.A.W. Construction has also been a member of the Home Builders Association for many years.

We know that decks are an important part of relaxation for our customers. Not only do we build treated lumber wood decks, we are also a Trex composite deck contractor so you don’t have to continuously work to keep up your deck and have more time to enjoy it. There are many options available and we can assist in designing your custom deck.

As a company we have also crossed over from the residential construction end over into light commercial construction on various local projects from banks to an event center remodel.
Blower Door
Testing
Each new home we build is Blower Door tested. A blower door is a machine used to measure the airtightness of a new home. It can also be used to measure airflow between building zones, to test ductwork airtightness and to help physically locate air leakage sites in the building structure. This helps us provide the most low energy and high efficiency homes to our customers.

An additional service we offer is that we utilize a software program to draw up prints for new construction and remodel projects. We can make any changes that meet code without going thru a third party vendor, which in the end saves our customers time and money.
